Before we started using the Woo technology, we were getting a lot of candidates that didn’t have the skills we were looking for from third-party agencies. One of the problems we were looking to solve was determining whether there was a match between candidates’ strengths and our company before getting in touch with them.
The candidates that come in through Woo are of a much higher quality. We wouldn’t have reached at least 3 of our last 4 hires if it wasn’t for Woo. Connecting with them using the Woo technology, rather than reaching out to them cold, was a clear advantage to both sides.
I definitely recommend Woo, it’s been a positive experience. It integrates seamlessly into my day-to-day, which is a big help since we’re already stretched so thin on the recruiting front. Having passive, but interested candidates, saves me time in resume review. It’s a nice additional resource that I get value from without having to invest extra time.
It can be really difficult to find the right people. Sourcing and hiring DevOps, analysts, and UX and UI designers was ranging from weeks to months, depending on the opening. I was using a variety of candidate-sourcing methods, including employee referrals, agencies, brand activities, meetups, and social media.
I decided to add a Woo account in order to improve our sourcing of qualified developers and decrease our hiring time metrics. Now, Woo is an important part of my recruiting toolkit. Using Woo has upped the number of candidates Honeybook reaches, which is a big time saver for me.
My proudest hire using the Woo technology was a Senior UI Designer. I searched for candidates for this Senior UI Designer position for months without finding a single qualified applicant. When we finally found the right person with Woo, she had just accepted a position at a well-known technology company.
“I did not see her on any other channels and since I reached her in time with Woo — just before she started the other position — I was able to bring her over to our development team.”
Woo’s technology is different from others since it’s easy to use, and integrates well with our other in-house methods. I recommend Woo all the time — it’s great!
Sourcing talented candidates on a limited HR budget and HR staff was becoming a challenge. It was taking an average of 3-6 months to hire candidates, even with a variety of sourcing strategies.
Because tech design companies around the globe are vying for the same engineers, the competition is stiff, so it was crucial that Autodesk find a way to convey to applicants what sets them apart.
With 20 positions to fill, from junior through senior level and managerial roles, we were trying to attract candidates with the same skill sets as every other tech company. We decided to activate a Woo account, because we understood it would help cut our time to hire.
Woo gives me access to people who are looking for something new, but aren’t really ‘out there,’ so I may not find them another way. Having unique access to qualified, passive candidates who have already expressed interest in their open positions was key to cutting down our hiring time, since the candidates received are ready to start the hiring process right away.
When I originally signed up, I didn't do much with the technology. I was content at my job and liked my coworkers. However, the matches I started receiving kept getting better and better.
Eventually, Seesaw reached out and I can't imagine a better fit. Although I’d never heard of them, they had a great description, so I reached out. Everything moved pretty quickly from there. I started talking with their recruiter, was brought in for an onsite interview, and here I am now!
Education was something I was always interested in, but I always assumed there was no money in education. How would I make a career out of it? I’d never considered looking for a job in education actively. There was no way I would have found this dream job.
My desk at Google had been recently relocated from San Francisco to Mountain View—a move I didn't want to make. I had looked around for jobs within Google in San Francisco and didn't find any great matches.
The Woo technology connected me with Lyft and made the initial connection easy. Working with the recruiters and managers at Lyft was easy. They were very supportive of me taking time to consider my offer. I've been working at Lyft for about 2 months now and am really happy with the team and project. The Woo technology made the entire process, from start to finish, simple and uncomplicated.
My experience with the technology was really great. I initially started looking for a job through a job search site, but started feeling frustrated after I never received any opportunities. In fact, I think I received two or three matches total.
At one point, the job search site contacted me saying they were going to feature me one week, but the match I got was for something completely different than what I wanted. It was a very bad experience.
Recruiters I spoke to were doing a decent job, but they are very loyal to the companies they worked with, so they tried to sell me what they had in their database, which was mostly financial positions.
With the Woo technology, it was much smoother. The very first match I got was LivePerson and I thought, “This is exactly what I'm looking for!” I was really impressed that the match was so perfect and I was not on the market for a long time.
I loved the fact that with the Woo technology I could set my preferences—like location, desired salary, remote flexibility, etc. to ensure I didn't waste my time or the time of interested recruiters.
In the back of my mind, I was curious what the salary expectations were for many of the companies. It’s common for companies to withhold this information at first and say it's too early in the interview process to discuss. However, it was easy for me to filter only positions in my salary range.
Also, since I decided to commute a little farther, I wanted to be able to occasionally work from home. The Woo technology allowed me to filter companies by these preferences and provided me with a short list of companies to apply to. Now here I am with my new job at OnDeck!
